8-year-old 3rd standard girl of DPS, Bowrampet, crushed to death by school bus

HYDERABAD: An 8-year-old school girl died from severe injuries after a school bus collided with them in Hyderabad's Bachupally area.

According to reports, the child, known as Dikshita, was on her way to school with her father, Kishore. She was in the second grade at Delhi Public School, Bowrampet. The family lives at Indraprastha apartments near Praneeth Antilia in Bachupally. The father was injured in the crash, and the driver was detained by the police.

The school bus belonged to Bhashyam School, and the accident occurred as a result of the bus driver's overspeeding, proving that the accident was solely the result of the bus driver's negligence. We are monitoring the CCTV footage for further investigation, said Bachupally Inspector N. Suman Kumar.
