Woman driving Jaguar in wrong route, abused home guard identified as actress Sowmya Janu

HYDERABAD: The Banjara Hills police have identified the woman as actress Sowmya Janu, who was driving a Jaguar car, who, on February 24, fought with a traffic home guard at Banjaraa Hills.

It may be recalled that a woman was intercepted by a traffic home guard as she was driving the car in a wrong route.

When the home guard advised her not to drive on the wrong route and asked her to get back, she abused him in foul language and also manhandled him. The video of the woman abusing him and picking up an altercation with the home guard went viral.

Talking to a TV channel she tried to defend her act of trespassing the rule saying that she was going in an urgent work. If she had to face this situation, what would be the fate of common man, she had reasoned, in complete disregard for law.

She screamed that she would also file a case on the home guard.

Janu claimed that she was not called for questioning by the police as yet.
