Balanagar SOT police arrest software engineer, seizes 1.8 kg of Marijuana

HYDERABAD: The Special Operations Team (SOT) Balanagar arrested a software engineer for trafficking marijuana in Hyderabad and seized 1.8 kg of the illegal substance worth Rs. 55,000 from his possession.

The Software Engineer identified as Yapuganti Phani Kiran is a network engineer working at Synergistic Solutions and residing at a private hostel near Sreekara Hospital in Khanmet for six months. He hails from Ravulapalem in Andhra Pradesh.

According to the police, a ganja supplier named Nagu from Vizag used to supply the marijuana to Phani Kiran, who would then distribute it in small packets to customers addicted to the drug. It is also learned that Phani Kiran was already arrested in an NDPS case in Adibatla.
