Bandi Sanjay claims he lost his mobile phone; lodged police complaint

KARIMNAGAR: Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay on Sunday lodged a complaint with II Town Police Station of Karimnagar that his mobile phone was missing.

Bandi Sanjay informed the Station House Officer (SHO) that he had lost his phone while he was being arrested by police on the intervening night of April 4 and April 5, 2023, and requested an immediate investigation into the matter.

He stated that he was taken in a police van to the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate's Bommala Ramaram Police Station by SHO PS-ll Town, Karimnagar, ACP Karimnagar, and other police officers, and that it was during this journey that he noticed he had lost his phone with mobile number 7680006600.

He swiftly brought this to the attention of the police officers in the van with him. He further stated that he was using a SIM card in the name of his sister Dr. Soumya for security reasons. He even disclosed the same to his lawyers when he was remanded in Cr.60/2023 of Kamalapur police station case.

During bail discussions, his lawyers informed him that they had brought the issue of missing phone to the attention of the magistrate. He recalled having his mobile with him when he was arrested. He requested that the police launched an inquiry to find his phone, which included all of his contact information and other vital information.

Bandi Sanjay stated in an official complaint, "I was under the impression that the police may have already initiated an investigation into the matter because I lost my phone in police custody and police had been immediately informed about it. I eagerly await prompt action in this regard".
