HYDERABAD: C S Rangarajan, the Chief Archaka and convenor of Temples Protection Movement (TPM) has enunciated the greatness of 'Bhishma Pitamaha' and called the elders not to allow the discontinuity and disconnect with 'Sanatana Dharma'.

Bhishma was Gangaputra and traditional fishermen were all Gangaputras. The community elders expressed happiness at these initiatives and vowed to participate in all such future programs.

Chilkur Balaji Temple had in the past performed many socially relevant activities to stitch the torn fragments of 'Sanatana Dharma'.

Munivahana Utsavam, Kanyavandanam, Jatayu Sena etc.were all part of it.As part of grand celebrations of 'Bhishma Ekadashi' with 'Sanatana Sampradaya Gangaputras (or Fishermen community)' on a large scale, Vishnu Sahasranama recital was performed at Tilak Nagar, Hyderabad.

Ganga Gowrishvar Bhajana Mandali, Tilak Nagar Gangaputra Sangham had organised this event.
