HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad traffic police have issued a traffic advisory in view of the Golconda Bonalu Celebrations-2023, with a huge number of devotees scheduled to attend from all over the city of Hyderabad and surrounding areas on the below-mentioned Pooja days from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., 2023.

Pooja rituals would be held on June 22, June 25, June 29, July 2, July 6, July 9, July 13, July 16, and July 20, 2023. Accordingly, heavy traffic is predicted on the three roads leading to Golconda Fort.

  • Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort (via) Makkai Darwaza.
  • Langar House to Golconda Fort (via) Fathe Darwaza.
  • Seven Tombs, Golconda to Golconda Fort (via) Banjara Darwaza.

The commuters using the above-mentioned roadways are advised to choose alternate routes to avoid inconvenience on the above-mentioned days from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The parking options for devotees attending the Bonalu celebrations at Golconda fort are as follows

  • Devotees travelling from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort via Makkai Darwaza should park their two-wheelers from Ashoorkhana to Military Sentry point, while four-wheelers should park at Ashoorkhana Parking Place and Military Ground Opposite AOC Centre Ramdevguda.
  • Devotees travelling from Langar House to Golconda Fort should park their two and three wheeler vehicles in HUDA Park, while four wheeler vehicles should proceed through Fathe Darwaza by taking the right turn at Al-Rahman Medical Hall and park at Owaisi Ground or Foot Ball/Boys Ground.
  • Devotees travelling from Shaikpet and Seven Tombs to Golconda Fort should park their two and three wheeler vehicles at Priyadarshini School, Area Hospital, and Bus stop near Golconda Fort, while four wheeler vehicles should proceed from Banjara Darwaza by taking a left turn towards Golconda Police Station road and parking their vehicles at Owaisi Ground or Foot Ball/Boys Ground.

The Hyderabad traffic police have urged devotees to park their vehicles only in authorised parking areas and maintain the line system at parking areas. The Commuters were also advised to use alternate routes to their destinations.
