HYDERABAD: The Jubilee Hills police have apprehended a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident. The accused, identified as Dwarampudi Naga from Kukatpally, was arrested following a protest by the deceased bouncer's relatives at Sajeev Reddy Nagar police station.
The incident occurred when Naga, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, struck a bike and fled the scene without stopping. The victim's family's demonstration prompted swift action from the police, who seized Naga's speeding car and arrested him based on CCTV footage evidence. The accused will be produced in the court.
Tarak Ram, a 30-year-old bouncer residing in Sikh Village, was struck by Naga's speeding car, colliding with his bike in Jubilee Hills. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred during the early hours of Wednesday.
