HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police have booked eight persons of two rival groups including the son of Mangalhat BJP corporator for indulging in clashes over a petty dispute recently. The two rival groups clashed under the Mangalhat police station limits.

As per reports, trouble started when Raju, a young worker of a tent house in Indira Nagar, fell asleep in the local BJP office after opening the shutter of the local BJP office. The office belongs to corporator Sasikala. Akhil, the corporator's son, who rushed to the office along with his friends Amos and Daniel, questioned Raju as to why he had slept in the office. Later, they allegedly assaulted Raju in a fit of rage.

However, Raju's friends Narender Goud, Shailender Goud and Santhosh, who also arrived at the BJP office, had an altercation with the corporator's son for abusing and manhandling their friend. Infuriated by the turn of events, Corporator Sasikala called her followers and started abusing Raju and his friends, which led to an ugly brawl. At least three persons were injured in the incident.

According to the complaints lodged by both sides, the police have registered cases against eight persons and are investigating it further. Meanwhile, the victims alleged that police had not charged corporator Sasikala in the case.
