HYDERABAD: BRS leader Krishank Manne is reportedly being held at an SP office in Nalgonda district, Telangana. The city police will transfer him to Hyderabad and take him to the Cybercrime police station on Wednesday evening.

Krishank Manne was detained by Hyderabad police on Wednesday afternoon after the Osmania University (OU) administration lodged a complaint against him at the OU police station.

The Osmania University police filed a case against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Manne Krishank for allegedly spreading a fake letter about the closure of university hostels and a mess at OU.

The complaint was lodged by chief warden G Srinivas stating a fabricated notice circulating on social media falsely claimed the closure of these facilities at OU, tarnishing the university’s reputation.

Krishank took to 'X' alleging he was detained while returning to Hyderabad from Kothagudem to participate in the press conference of BRS working president. He said, "Police have stopped at Panthangi Checkpost. From the last 30 minutes instead of checking the vehicle they have made us stand saying higher officials will come."

Suhasini Krishank on Wednesday alleged that her husband, Krishank, is missing since he was not taken to Choutuppal station, and there is no information about his whereabouts.
