HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Stephen Ravindra along with Additional CP Avinash Mahanty, Traffic Joint CP Narayana Naik on Thursday monitored live CCTVs on the big screen in the Command Control Centre of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and inquired about the conditions prevailed at all areas amid rains and gave directions to the ground staff in undertaking rescue operations.

The CP said that all the traffic personnel were on the field performing their duties without any problem and suggested the officials to work along with the staff to ensure that the there was no traffic jam during the rains.

Stating that IT Companies were urged to implmenet staggered logout system based on the IMD forecast, Stephen Ravindra urged the people to co-operate with the traffic personnel and the follow the directions of the police and GHMC. He urged people not to venture out unless in emergencies.

He also inspected the water bodies through Public Safety - Integrated Operations Center (PSIOC) and said that the reservoirs were completely full and instructed the police staff to take proper precautions so that no one ventures near these reservoirs.

He directed the staff to set up plastic cones, barricades, and flexes with warning signs to prevent people from going near the flood waters and also ordered the officials to campaign the precautionary measures such as dangers of touching electricity poles, thorugh social media.

Assuring that the police would be available 24 hours to help the people , Stephen Ravindra said that commuters must avoid crossing the bridges and causeways that were flooded by rain water.

Cyberabad Crimes DCP Singhanwar Kamleshwar, Cyberabad Traffic DCP Harshavardhan, Madhapur DCP Sandeep, ADCP Ravi Kumar, CSW ADCP Srinivas Rao, Inspectors Narsing Rao, Jagadish and other authorities participated in the meeting.
