HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Stephen Ravindra, along with DCP, Women and Child Welfare Department, Nikita Pant on Monday inaugurated a counselling centre of the Centre For Development and Empowerment of Women (CDEW) at Alwal Police Station.

Speaking on the occasion, Stephen Ravindra said that, as per the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), they were organising as many as seven counseling centres across the state to resolve women's problems.

Stating that the counselors at every CDEW centre were working to resolve the problems faced by women, be it financial, marriage disputes or other matters, by calling them to the counseling centre, the CP said that the counselors were also calling couples who are in marital distress and giving them necessary guidance.

Meanwhile, the CP inquired about the problems being faced in the police stations and asked the constables to bring any such issues to his notice directly.

Later, the Cyberabad top cop inspected the old police station building and sanctioned Rs 10 lakh for its renovation.
