HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court expressed displeasure over the GHMC for demolishing a portion of constructions in Hotel Deccan Kitchen at Filmnagar in Jubilee Hills despite giving a stay order for eight weeks.

It is known there were civil disputes between Nandu Kumar, an accused in the BRS MLAs’ poaching case and Tollywood heroes Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh, and producer Suresh Babu.

Nandu Kumar had filed a petition in the High Court seeking a stay on the demolitions at Hotel Deccan Kitchen to which the court had granted eight weeks of stay on November 11.

However, the GHMC officials went ahead with demolitions on November 13, ignoring the Telangana High Court orders, which compelled Nandu Kumar to file a contempt of court case against the GHMC.

Telangana High Court, which heard the petition on Saturday, questioned the GHMC as to how could it demolish the construction of said hotel after the court had issued a stay order and served Form 1 notices to GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Teja, Raj Kumar, and Assistant Town planner asking them to appear before the court on July 11.
