Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge now boasts of two new musical fountains

HYDERABAD: The Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge now boasts a new attraction, musical fountains, adding to its stunning beauty. As part of the renovation and development of the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge, the Telangana Government developed two musical fountains in Durgam Cheruvu Lake.

The musical fountain was inaugurated on Tuesday by Hyderabad Mayor Vijayalaxmi R Gadwal, Serilingampally MLA A Gandhi, Special Chief Secretary MA&UD Arvind Kumar and HMWSSB Director M Dana Kishore.

The Musical Fountain, measuring 60m in length and 10m in width, would be operated daily for 3 15-minute shows from 7PM to 10PM, and 4 shows on weekends and public holidays.

The Fountain's nozzles and jets were programmed using a DMX controller and synchronized with music. This dynamic fountain features 368 SS304 jet nozzles and 384 IP68-rated underwater LED lights.

The project, costing Rs.8.03 crores, includes a 3 year operation and maintenance (O&M) period and features chasing nozzles with spray heights ranging from 3m to 15m.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has developed a seating gallery and landscaping for public relaxation, accommodating approximately 200 people.
