Ex-MLA Shakeel's name added to FIR for helping son escape to Dubai after car accident

HYDERABAD: In a significant development in the road accident case in front of Praja Bhavan where the son of former BRS MLA rammed into its barricades, the Punjagutta police have booked BRS leader and former MLA Shakeel, along with ten others, for allegedly helping his son flee to Dubai.
The police have already arrested two, while three others are absconding. Meanwhile, lookout notices have already been issued against Sahil alias Rahil, and efforts are being made to bring him back home from Dubai.
It may be recalled that Sahil created havoc with a car in front of Praja Bhavan on December 23, 2023 ramming the barricades in front of Praja Bhavan with his car due to overspeeding. There were two young men and three young women in the vehicle at the time of the incident. However no one was injured.
The police registered a case based on CCTV footage and had even suspended officers for showing negligence in this case.
