Flyover accident: KTR visits injured at KIMS; promises support, strict action

HYDERABAD: Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao on Wednesday visited KIMS and met the people who were injured in the flyover accident in Hyderabad in the morning. Accompanied by Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav, LB Nagar MLA Sudhir Reddy, Special Chief Secretary of the Municipal Department Arvind Kumar and other officials, KTR inquired about the well-being of the injured while assuring them of full Government support.

During his visit, KTR elicited information from the authorities on the nature of the accident and extended his sympathies to the injured. He promised that the Government would make all necessary arrangements for their treatment and ensure their speedy recovery.

Terming the incident as unfortunate, the minister highlighted the commitment of the municipal administration department to thoroughly investigate the accident. He said that a thorough inquiry would be conducted by a three-member internal enquiry committee headed by engineer in chief of GHMC and with experts from JNTU to ascertain the actual cause of the mishap. He vowed to take strict action if any evidence of negligence on the part of the working agency emerged in the inquiry.
