HYDERABAD: The son of former Bodhan BRS MLA Shakeel Ahmed destroyed the barricades set up near the Praja Bhavan camp office with his car, allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

According to information, on December 23, at 3 a.m., the son of former Bodhan MLA Shakeel, along with three girls who were going in a car, hit the barricades near the Praja Bhavan camp office, allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The police at the scene arrested the accused and took them to the police station.

However, the inspector on duty that day sent a home guard to the Panjagutta traffic police station to conduct an alcohol test on Shakeel's son. Interestingly, the accused managed to flee the scene. This has raised suspicions about whether he escaped of his own accord or with help of police.

As a result, the matter has been brought to the attention of the DCP, and the SR Nagar Division ACP YV Rao is now investigating the case.

Meanwhile, there are allegations that the Panjagutta Circle Inspector attempted to rescue the former MLA's son. Upon learning about this situation, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) became furious with the other staff members and was present at the police station, and is personally overseeing the investigation of the case. It is learned that a case was registered against son of the former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and his friends.

On the other hand, the Station House Officer (SHO), who allegedly tried to substitute another individual in place of the ex-MLA's son, was also being taken to task.
