Formula E race: Roads to avoid in Hyderabad from February 5 to 12

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad traffic police imposed traffic diversions on NTR Marg from February 5-6 (partially) and February 7-12 (totally) to facilitate smooth commuting in the vicinity of Hussain Sagar lake and adjoining junction in view for the Formula-E race.

The following diversions would be made, if required as per the local situation

• Traffic heading from V.V. Statue (Khairatabad) to Khairatabad flyover will be directed to Shadan College - Ravindra Bharati instead of Necklace Rotary.
• Traffic heading from Budda Bhavan/Nallagutta Junction to Necklace Rotary would be diverted at Nallagutta Junction to Ranigunj/Tankbund.
• Traffic from Iqbal Minar Junction to Telugu Thalli would be redirected at the Telugu Thalli Starting Fly Over towards Katta Maisamma/ Lower Tankbund.Traffic heading from Telugu Thalli to Necklace Rotary would be diverted at Telugu Talli Junction to Iqbal Minar/Ravindra Bharathi Junction.
• Traffic heading from BRKR Bhavan to Necklace Rotary would be diverted at Telugu Talli Junction to Iqbal Minar/Ravindra Bharathi Junction.
• Traffic from Iqbal Minar Junction to the Mint compound lane would be prohibited and would be diverted at Iqbal Minar Junction to Ravindra Bharathi Junction.
• Traffic from Khairatabad Bada Ganesh Lane to Printing Press Junction or Necklace Rotary would be prohibited and will be diverted at Bada Ganesh to Raj Dooth Lane.
• Due to formula E-Racing civil works, NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Necklace Road, and Lumbini Park would be closed.

Traffic Congestion Junctions

The below junctions may witness moderate congestion due to traffic diversions. The commuters are advised to avoid the below junctions

• VV Statue (Khairatabad) Junction
• Old Saifabad PS Junction
• Ravindra Bharathi Junction
• Mint Compound Road
• Telugu Thalli Junction
• Necklace Rotary
• Katta Maisamma (Lower Tankbund)
• Tank Bund

The Hyderabad Traffic Police had asked commuters to be aware of the above diversions and to choose other routes to their destinations in order to cooperate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
