HYDERABAD: French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenain has announced that the Government of France has decided to open the ‘Bureau de France’ in Hyderabad.

The French Ambassador tweeted two days in response to a Tweet by Telangana Minister K T Rama Rao saying: “Thank you Minister @KTRTRS for the excellent discussions. #Telangana is a fast-growing, forward-looking State, where France and French companies wish to boost their presence.”

In fact, KTR had tweeted earlier that he had a “good meeting with @FranceinIndia Ambassador @E_Lenain in Delhi. Number of follow-ups from previous sessions. Hoping to grow from strength to strength.”

KTR on Monday tweeted that it was a “pleasure to meet French Ambassador Lenain and Consul-General Thierry Berthelot. Welcome French government’s decision to open new ‘House of France’ in Hyderabad in recognition of the strong and growing business and people-to-people ties between France and Telangana.”

The new French Bureau in Hyderabad would be operational by mid-2023 and would offer commercial as well as consular and visa services immensely “benefitting our students and business our students and business community and foster closer relations with France.”
