Geyser left switched on, causes fire in upscale Nallagandla gated community apartment

HYDERABAD: A freak fire accident at an upscale gated community in the city left the residents of the society shell-shocked.

Late on Friday night, a family residing in the Aparna Cyberlife gated community in Nallagandla stepped out for Diwali shopping and had left the geyser in one of the bedrooms turned on.

Incidentally, the society was drawing additional power for festive activities, which led to a short circuit. As a result, two rooms in the apartment were completely gutted.

A few residents who noticed the fire immediately called the fire service who doused the flames. Serilingampally Congress MLA candidate Jagadeeshwar Goud took stock of the situation and spoke to the community members.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. However, this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of being vigilant and taking necessary precautions to prevent fire accidents.
