GHMC issues warning to residents of low-lying areas in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Disaster Response Force (DRF) wing of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has issued a warning to people of low-lying areas in Puranapul, Jiyaguda, Kulsumpura, and many other neighbouring localities.

According to reports, floodwater were gushing from Himayat Sagar over the renowned bridge into the Musi catchment areas, affecting the city's low-lying areas. Moderate to heavy rains was expected to continue to pour on the city till evening of July 26, 2023. DRF teams have been put on high alert, and citizens have been advised contact DRF by dialling 9000113667.
