GHMC to build 135 link roads to reduce traffic woes in Hyderabad
KTR taking to ‘X’ on Wednesday said that the GHMC focused on establishing alternative routes to reduce traffic congestion besides minimising travel time
HYDERABAD: The Municipal Administration and Urban Development department is contemplating strengthening the road network in the State capital by constructing 135 link roads with a total length of 126.20 km to ease traffic congestion.
Minister for IT and BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) taking to ‘X’ on Wednesday said that the GHMC focused on establishing alternative routes to reduce traffic congestion besides minimising travel time.
According to the Minister, the Government had already identified the missing link corridors and slip roads in the GHMC limits and decided to construct link roads using the latest technology. The Government decided to construct these link roads to resolve the traffic problems of the residents of Hyderabad and also considering the future needs of the expanding city.
