HYDERABAD: Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) on Wednesday clarified that one of the two hall tickets for the Group IV examination reportedly issued in the name of same candidate with different examination centres was a fabricated one.

The hall ticket (2193432645) issued in the name of Dharavath Navya Sree, resident of Tekulapally of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, showed the examination centre as Sri Nalanda Junior College at Kothagudem, while the other with the same hall ticket number showed Deccan College of Engineering and Technology, Aghapura of Hyderabad as the centre leading to confusion and public outcry.

As the two-hall ticket episode became viral giving a headache to the beleaguered TSPSC, which was facing the heat with allegations of paper leaks, began looking for the reasons for such a blunder with the examination fast approaching on July 1, 2023. The particular candidate was supposed to attend the general studies exam in the morning and the secretarial abilities exam in the afternoon.

In its statement, the commission said that the issue of a candidate receiving two hall tickets for the same examination was brought to its attention, and on verification, it was found that the hall ticket for Kothagudem centre was the original and the other one with Hyderabad centre printed on it was fabricated. “The matter is under investigation,” the commission said.
