Gunfire in Shamirpet over alleged extramarital affair; one injured

HYDERABAD: An assailant identified as Manoj Kumar opened fire on Siddharth Das in Shamirpet on Saturday. The incident sparked tension in Shamirpet as the firing occurred at Celebrity resort in Medchal district in Telangana.

According to police, Siddharth Das was attacked because of his alleged extramarital relationship with Manoj Kumar's wife. Manoj Kumar who's identified aa an actor in TV soaps carried an air rifle to the resort with the intention of harming Siddharth.

Siddharth, who was injured by an air gun bullet, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The police registered a case, and an investigation is underway.
