HYDERABAD: Tollywood actor Navdeep Pallapolu has said that the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) officials questioned him based on a seven-year-old call list. He appeared before the TSNAB officials at Central Crime Station (CCS) in Basheerbagh, regarding the Gudimalkapur drugs case in Hyderabad.

The TSNAB officials team headed by SP D Sunita Reddy grilled Navdeep for almost six hours to inquire about his relationship with drug supplier Ram Chand, film financier K Venkatratna Reddy and Devarakonda Suresh Rao, son from former MP D Vittal Rao who were arrested in the Gudimalkapur drug case.

The officials reportedly seized the mobile phone of Navdeep and questioned him by retrieving his WhatsApp chat history. They also produced the cash transaction details of Navdeep with Devarakonda Suresh and Rama Chandra while questioning him.

Speaking to media after appearing before TSNAB officials, Navdeep said, “I have appeared before the TSNAB officials following a notice from them to gather crucial information in the Gudimalkapur drug case. The officials questioned me based on a seven-year-old call list and my involvement in the BPM club,” he said.

Navdeep said that he also previously appeared for the interrogations of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Telangana excise department and Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the supply of drugs to Tollywood celebrities in the case related to the 2017 drug scandal. As part of their investigation, the TSNAB officials received a link of my involvement in the Gudimalkapur drugs case, he said.

“For a decade, I have been aware of Ram Chand. I answered all the questions of TSNAB and the officials are investigating the case from the grassroots level," Navdeep said.
