HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) has achieved a historic milestone with the ridership clocking 5.10 lakh on Monday, 3 July 2023.

The HMR attributed the record to commuters’ trust and acceptance of the eco-friendly, fast, comfortable and most convenient travel mode of Hyderabad.

Thanking HMR passengers for achieving the milestone, KVB Reddy, MD and CEO of L&T MRHL, said: “It is a momentous occasion for us indeed and we dedicate this success to our valued commuters who have shown their solidarity by choosing HMR as their preferred travel partner.”

He added that the pandemic had taken a negative toll on HMR’s business but through the consistent efforts and hard work of its teams, the organisation could taste success. Continuous cooperation and support from the Telangana Government and Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited made it possible to provide the most viable and reliable urban mass rapid transit system to the people of the city, he said.
