Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing busts interstate drug trafficking gang

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) sleuths busted a Mumbai MDMA Drug Trafficking Gang and nabbed four Interstate Drug Suppliers, seizing 204 grams of MDMA, four mobile phones, and a car all worth Rs Rs.20,00,000.

The arrested persons include Jatin Bhalchandra Bhalerao (36), Javed Shamshair Ali Siddiquie (34), Junaid Shaik Shamshuddin (28), Vikas Mohan Kodmur (33), Emmanul Osondu (34), Sana Khan (34) and Harsh Mahajan (44).

According to the police, drug peddler Jatin Bhalchandra Bhalerao, a native of Mumbai, Maharashtra State, is currently absconding. He began drug dealing in order to boost his extravagant lifestyle. He made connections with another peddler, Javed Shamshair Ali Siddique from Mumbai, and acquired MDMA for Rs.1500 per gram and sold it for Rs.3,000.

He also sold drugs to needy consumers and for Rs.2,000 per grams to fellow peddlers Sana Khan and Harsh Mahajan from Hyderabad, who used to visit Mumbai to buy drugs. They even supplied the same drugs to needy customers in Hyderabad for Rs.7,000 per gram.

Jatin used to buy cocaine from Emmanuel Osondu, a Nigerian national apprehended by the Bahadurpura Police Station.

Another Mumbai resident, Javed Shamshair Ali Siddique, obtained MDMA in bulk from Vikas Mohan and his brother, Dinesh Mohan, who was arrested by the Mumbai Police, used to sell the same drugs in smaller quantities to other drug peddlers and customers in Mumbai with the assistance of Junaid Shaik Shamshuddin, a drug transporter.

Both brothers, Vikas and Dinesh Mohan, acquired large amounts of drug MDMA from a local person in Mumbai. Javed Shamshair Ali Siddique paid Junaid Shaik Shamshuddin Rs.50,000 for each delivery of drugs. Following an investigation, it was discovered that around 81 customers purchased MDMA from Jatin Bhalchandra Bhalerao and 30 customers purchased MDMA from Javed Shamshair Ali Siddique on a regular basis.

On February 13, 2023, Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) and Gopalapuram police apprehended a drug supplier, a drug transporter, and two drug peddlers and recovered 204 grams of MDMA, four mobile phones, and a four-wheeler worth Rs Rs.20,00,000.
