Bollywood and Tollywood celebrities, actors from Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam cinema industry will also play in the Celebrity Cricket League

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president A Jaganmohan Rao on Friday announced that Hyderabad would host the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). He said that while the first phase matches of this league were being held in Sharjah, the second phase matches would be held from March 1 to the 3 in Hyderabad.

He said that Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood and other film celebrities and stars of the country were coming to Hyderabad to play in this league.

Free entry for 10,000 college students

Jagan Mohan Rao said that he asked CCL organisers to show these matches for free to the college students of Hyderabad and Telangana, and they accepted immediatly. With this, 10,000 college (Intermediate, UG, PG, Engineering, medical students) would be allowed into the stadium free of cost. Principals of interested colleges were advised to email the HCA hca.ccl2024@gmail.com with the number of students coming from their educational institutions along with the names of the students. He said that their staff would reply to them after scrutiny. He said that students coming to the matches would have to come with ID cards.

Hyderabad hosting six matches

Jagan Mohan Rao said that a total of six matches would be held in Hyderabad in three days with two matches each day. He said that the Tollywood team Telugu Warriors were playing under the captaincy of hero Akkineni Akhil. Mumbai Heroes, Kerala Strikers, Bhojpuri Dabanggs, Bengal Tigers, Chennai Rhinos, Karnataka Bulldozers and Punjab De Sher teams would compete. Jagan Mohan Rao said that celebrities from the all over the country will play for each team.
