Hyderabad traffic police book 2,965 drunk drivers in February

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad traffic police, found up to 2,965 drunk drivers in the month of February 2023. They were produced before the 3rd and 4th Metropolitan Magistrate Courts in Nampally, Hyderabad, after 4,360 charge sheets were filed against them.

7 The remaining 3,989 respondents were fined Rs. 94,33,300 by the courts.

According to Hyderabad traffic police, persons convicted of drunken driving and other traffic violations may experience difficulties securing government jobs, passports, and visas.

The offenders of the offence were also counselled at TTI, Goshamahal, and Begumpet. The campaign against drunk driving and other offences would continue for the safety of drivers on the road. The Hyderabad Traffic Police Department advises that all motorists refrain from driving while intoxicated.
