BENGALURU: In an entertaining high-scoring match held in Bengaluru, Australia secured a thumping victory over Pakistan. Despite Pakistan's valiant efforts, they fell short of their target by 62 runs. This triumph for Australia was significantly influenced by the incredible centuries delivered by David Warner and Mitchell Marsh, as well as Adam Zampa's outstanding four-wicket haul.

Pakistan embarked on their chase of the formidable 368-run target with a blazing start, courtesy of their openers, Abdullah Shafique (64) and Imam ul-Haq (70). Their partnership of 134 runs put Pakistan in a promising position. However, the dismissal of both by Marcus Stoinis initiated a steady decline in Pakistan's wickets. Although the trio of Mohammed Rizwan (46), Saud Shakeel (30), and Ifthikar Ahmed (26) provided some hope, Pakistan's fate was sealed once they departed. Eventually, Pakistan was all out for 305, with Adam Zampa (3/54) leading the Australian bowling chart.

Australia's batting display was nothing short of spectacular, primarily due to the opening pair of David Warner (163) and Mitchell Marsh (121). They crafted an electrifying partnership of 259 runs for the first wicket, delighting the spectators with 18 sixes and 24 fours. Both of them entertained the audience with brilliant centuries. At one point, it seemed that the 400-run mark was within reach. However, Shaheen Afridi put an end to Marsh's dominance, taking his wicket, followed by dismissing Maxwell on the very next ball. Later, Australia continued to lose wickets at regular intervals, concluding their innings at 367/9 after 50 overs. Shaheen Afridi (5/54) excelled for Pakistan, clinching a five-wicket haul.

In their upcoming matches, Pakistan will face Afghanistan on October 23, while Australia is set to take on the Netherlands on October 25.
