HYDERABAD: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'yellow' rain and thunderstorm alert for the next four days. Some districts in Telangana are likely to experience light to moderate rain for the next four days.

According to the IMD, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 KMPH) are very likely to occur at isolated places across many parts of Telangana for the next four days.

Southwest Monsoons extended towards Nizamabad in Telangana state on Sunday. Low-level winds are prevailing in the state on Sunday mainly from the southwest direction.

Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into the remaining parts of the central Arabian Sea, some parts of the north Arabian Sea, and some more parts of Maharashtra (including Mumbai) on June 9, 2024. The Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through 19.5°N/60°E, 19.5°N/65°E, 19.0°N/70°E, Thane, Ahmednagar, Beed, Nizamabad, Sukma, Malkajgiri, Vizianagaram, and Islampur.

May 9 (Yellow): Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 KMPH) very likely to occur at isolated places in Nizamabad, Rajanna Sirsilla, Nalgonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana.

May 10 (Yellow): Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 KMPH) very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Nalgonda, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana.

May 11 (Yellow): Thunderstorm accompanied by Lightning and Gusty winds (30-40 KMPH) very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts Nalgonda, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana.

May 12 (Yellow): Thunderstorm accompanied by Lightning and Gusty winds (30-40 KMPH) very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagital, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana.
