HYDERABAD: Lockheed Martin Corporation, an American aerospace corporation, plans to host its next supply chain meeting in Hyderabad, said IT Minister K T Rama Rao on Friday.

The Lockheed Martin firm is a multinational aerospace, armaments, defence, information security and technology firm based in the United States.

KTR held a meeting with senior leaders from Lockheed Martin Corporation on Friday, including Ray Piselli, Vice-President, International Business and Global Business Development, and Dave Sutton, Director for International Government Affairs, to discuss ongoing manufacturing programmes in Hyderabad as well as new programmes in the pipeline.

During the meeting in Washington, DC, Lockheed Martin leaders expressed gratitude to the Telangana government for its unwavering support during the COVID-19 pandemic and pledged support for the state's various skilling initiatives including the plan to establish a world-class aerospace university in collaboration with leading OEMs.

“Glad to note that Lockheed is planning their next supply chain meet in Hyderabad and is actively speaking to several Telangana based MSMEs and start-ups for fruitful collaborations," said KTR

Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Departments, Jayesh Ranjan, Special Secretary, Investment Promotion and NRI Affairs, E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Director, Aerospace & Defence, Praveen PA were present at the meetings.
