HYDERABAD: IT and Industries Minister KTR has been invited to speak about Telangana's outstanding success story in agriculture at the 'Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue 2023', which will take place from October 24 to 26, 2023 in Des Moines, Iowa, USA.

More than 1,200 in-person visitors and thousands of virtual participants from around the world would take part in the debate to elevate food and agricultural solutions that can boost the quality, quantity, and availability of food for all.

In the invitation, Ambassador Terry E. Branstad, President of the World Food Prize Foundation, said, “Your perspective and voice will add unmatchable value to the Borlaug Dialogue. It would be an honour to feature you at the dialogue as we gather dynamic paradigm shifters who improve global food systems and alleviate global food insecurity.”

Minister KTR expressed his happiness over receiving the invitation. He said that this would be a great platform for showcasing the exceptional success story of the Telangana agriculture sector under the able leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekar Rao. Telangana Agriculture minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy was also invited to speak at the event.

The 2022 focus on feeding a fragile world amid food system shocks is set for a future-focused convening focusing on nourishment, regeneration, innovation, resilience, empowerment, and mobilization.

The 2023 theme, Harnessing Change, acknowledges past achievements and encourages action based on Dr. Norman Borlaug's legacy. The World Food Prize Foundation recognizes individuals who positively impact global food and agriculture, including Laureates and Borlaug Field Award recipients.

The Borlaug Dialogue, a global forum for individuals from over 65 countries, aims to tackle critical issues related to global food security and nutrition. The 2023 Borlaug Dialogue would feature global leaders, experts, and educators discussing transformative solutions for a sustainable, equitable, and nourishing food system.
