HYDERABAD: New garbage dumping sites in Rangareddy, Sangareddy and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts should not cause inconvenience to people and should be selected considering the needs of Hyderabad for the next 50 years said Telangana MA&UD minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday.

KTR chaired the 64th City Convergence Meeting held at Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Office in Hyderabad.

The issues discussed at the meeting included new sites for dump yards in Rangareddy, Sangareddy and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts, action against private yards and dangerous transportation of construction and demolition waste, an ambitious plan to beautify Musi and its surroundings, providing parking lots, improving garbage collection and other topics about the city.

Regarding finding dump yard sites, the Minister said that the sites should not cause inconvenience to people and have to be selected considering the future needs of Hyderabad.
