Man arrested for smuggling saree sprayed with 461 gram gold at Hyderabad Airport

HYDERABAD: Customs sleuths of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, as part of their routine check, seized as much as 461 grams of gold that was sprayed onto a saree by a passenger. The value of the seized gold was estimated to be around Rs 28.01 lakh.

The passenger, who had arrived at the airport, tried to evade detection by spraying the gold onto a saree. However, officials were able to identify the crime and apprehend the individual. The officials detained the passenger and are interrogating him.
