HYDERABAD: The Milad processions were marked by religious fervour by devotees and enthusiasts across the city, said Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand on Sunday.

City police commissioner CV Anand presided over the inter-departmental command control centre at TSPICC, where he monitored CCTV feeds, drone visuals and issued instructions to deputies in the field, while thousands of participants were seen riding bikes, four wheelers and walking through key intersections.

The major procession began at Quadri Chaman and passed through the arterial arteries in Engine Bowli, Nagal Chintha, and Charminar around afternoon, where the Kotwal, stationed with other senior echelons, greeted the Milad Julus members.

Police personnel ensured the clear procession route and traffic teams worked together at critical junctions. The monitoring of other tributary processions in various zones was closely observed.

Vikram Singh Mann, Addl.cp(L&O), G.Suddeer Babu, Addl.cp traffic, P.Viswaprasad, Addl.cp (SB), South zone DCP Sai Chaitanya and other officers were present during the occasion.
