New Year Eve: Cyberabad DCP asks organisers to adhere strictly to guidelines

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) T Srinivasa Rao has called upon the owners, organisers and event management teams to strictly adhere to the guidelines in view of New Year celebrations.

Following are the guidelines issued by the police:

• DJs are not allowed in outdoor events.
• The sound of the musical event shall not be heard beyond the premises; any complaints from the neighbours will be treated seriously.
• The noise levels laid under Central Pollution Control Board which is 45 decibels shall be strictly followed.
• The singers should not go into the crowd but shall be in a separate earmarked place.
• No vulgarity or no obscene dressing or obscene dances should be allowed.
• The licensee shall be responsible for preventing use of drugs & psychotropic substances by the participants in the event or in the premises. If the management failed to prevent the same, it would lead to capability of management and action will be taken as per law.
• Organisers should pay special attention to parking areas and other places where drugs are clandestinely sold. This may be taken seriously by the licensee that it shall be their sole responsibility to prevent drug abuse in the premises and stern criminal and penal action would follow.
• As per the TS Public Safety measures enforcement act, the licensee shall ensure that CCTV Cameras with recording facility is installed at all the entry, exit points of establishment covering 50 yards of the streets in front of the establishment. CCTV Cameras shall also be installed with recording facilities at parking places.
• The closing time schedule permitted shall be strictly adhered to 1 am.
• The Organizer should follow Covid-19 SOP (Standard Operating procedure) guidelines such as social distancing using sanitization precautions/nose masks/sanitizers/thermal scanners and pulse oximeter during the event as per latest orders issued by the Telangana Government.
