HYDERABAD: Suspended BJP leader Raja Singh has urged Garba organisers in the city to restrict entry of non-Hindus' to Navaratri events in the coming week.

The Goshamahal MLA wrote to 10 Garba organisers, advocating protection for Hindu girls from perceived threats like 'Love Jihad' and restricting entry to Garba venues exclusively to Hindus.

Raja Singh said that non-Hindus, including bouncers, security guards, DJs, catering staff, musicians, and lighting personnel, should not be permitted to Garba pandals.

In his letter, he highlighted the daily rise in Love Jihad cases, primarily originating from interactions at Dandiya events.

Raja Singh requested event organisers to ensure all attendees apply tilak at the entrance and verify their identity with Aadhaar cards before allowing them inside.

"A team of 100 Hindu karyakartas will be present in your event (via valid tickets), and if any such entry (of Love Jihadis) is noticed, they will take necessary steps to prevent it (which may spoil your event). So, please ensure that only Hindus are permitted to attend your event so that it is a success for you as well, " said Raja Singh.

He gave the following suggestions to the organisers

  • Check the Aadhar card of the people who are entering the event.
  • Not to allow the people of other communities who are involved in 'Love Jihad'.
  • Make sure that the bouncers belong to Hindu community only.
  • Our motto is just to save Hindu sisters from 'Love Jihad' cases.
