HYDERABAD: World Telugu Information Technology Council (WTITC) has appointed His Highness Al Sayyid Firas Fatik, the younger son of the King of Oman, as a patron member of the council.

The appointment was made during a visit by a WTITC delegation led by Sundeep Kumar Makthala to Oman on Tuesday.

During the visit, the delegation met Al Sayyid Firas Fatik to discuss collaborations between Oman and the Telugu States.

The discussion covered investment opportunities, business policies in Oman, and technology exchange initiatives in the IT and ITeS sectors.

Sundeep, the leader of the delegation, handed over the appointment letter to Al Sayyid Firas Fatik, formally appointing him as a patron member of WTITC.

The delegation also met Telugu people facing difficulties in Muscat and Sohar labour camps, providing them hope and support.

Sundeep, who is the Chairman of WTITC, said, "We are delighted to have met Al Sayyid Firas Fatik and discussed the immense potential for cooperation between Oman and the Telugu States. Our discussions focused on investment opportunities and technology exchange initiatives in the IT and ITeS sectors, which can create a win-win situation for both sides."

Al Sayyid Firas Fatik said, "I am honored to be appointed as a patron member of WTITC. This reflects the importance we attach to the collaboration between Oman and the Telugu States. I believe that this partnership will create new opportunities for investment, trade, and technology exchange, and contribute to the growth and development of both our economies."

The delegation included Ritzy Group CEO MNR Gupta, SSR Cloud CEO Shasidhar Sharma, and WTITC members Karim Shiek, Hemanth Sarvabotla, and Abishek Reddy Arrabolu.
