MEDCHAL: The outpatients at the Shapur Nagar ESI Hospital in Jeedimetla of Medchal Malkajgiri district who came for a checkup on Sunday have staged a protest, expressing their anguish towards the doctors for making them wait outside for a long time.

The patients said that they had to visit the hospital on a Sunday as it was a holiday for their offices. They complained that they were disappointed over the staff's attitude of wasting time by unnecessarily going out despite the fact the hospital would be open only till 2 PM on Sunday.

The locals also complained that the doctors who were supposed to come to the hospital for duty at 9 am on working days won't turn up till 11 am, causing inconvenience to the patients

Expressing anger over the closure of the hospital without prior information those patients who need to take medicines from the hospital pharmacy urged the government authorities to take appropriate steps to monitor the movement of the doctors and the supporting staff and ensure that they attend to their duties in time.
