HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has announced the closure of parks and recreation centers in the vicinity of the new secretariat named after Dr. BR Ambedkar built by the Telangana government on Sunday.
The curbs will be in force as Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will inaugurate the new secretariat on Sunday.
The HMDA also stated that Lumbini Park, NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Laser Show, etc would also be closed as there could be a huge crowd amid the inauguration of the state secretariat.
On the other hand, the Hyderabad Traffic Police also announced the traffic diversions at VV Statue – Necklace Rotary – NTR Marg and Telugu Talli Junction on Sunday. According to police, traffic restrictions are imposed from 4 PM to 8 PM until the inauguration ceremony of the secretariat is completed ceremony is completed on the day.
Hyderabad Traffic Additional CP Sudhir Babu said that a parking place would be available for those who come to the inauguration ceremony and directed the invitees to attach the passes to their vehicles for a smooth flow of traffic.
