HYDERABAD: Rainwater entered residential areas in various parts of Kukatpally along with neighbouring colonies on Thursday, causing hardships for residents in Hyderabad.

According to reports, the city's incessant rains caused water to enter more than 20 houses in Yellamma Banda and Sikh Basti in Kukatpally. Residents were unable to sleep last night due to heavy rains that began last night.

Residents of the colony expressed concern that neither the administration nor the public representatives were paying attention to the colony's flooding problems.

Two houses in Rajendranagar's Hyderguda area collapsed as due to of the city's torrential downpours during the last two days. There were no casualties since nobody was at home. Residents in the neighbourhood rushed to the scene upon hearing the crushing sound.
