Rs.45-cr Begumpet Nala works under SNDP to be completed by April: Talasani Srinivas Yadav

HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the Begumpet canal being developed under the Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) work in the Begumpet area would be completed by April 2023.
He, along with other officials, inspected the SNDP work in Secunderabad Cantonment and surrounding areas on Thursday. The Minister said that the nala development work was taken up with a budget of Rs 45 crore.
Talasani Srinivas Yadav also said that the officials were not doing the work swiftly and asked them to finish the ongoing work on a priority basis and take up new SNDP projects.
SNDP was an initiative taken up by the Telangana Government to provide a better sewage and flood control system in and around the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits. The Government approved 37 projects and Rs 985.45 crore were sanctioned.
