Swiggy delivery boy hit by a speeding water tanker, killed on the spot at Madhapur

HYDERABAD: A speeding water tanker truck hit a Swiggy delivery boy in Madhapur on Wednesday killing him on the spot.

According to the Cyberabad traffic police the delivery executive who was identified as Durga Prasad was on his way to deliver a package when the accident occurred. The deceased wore a helmet at the time of the accident.

Meanwhile, Swiggy, in response to a tweet, said that its representatives were in touch with Durga Prasad’s family and would support the family.

Swiggy said: “We have been in touch with Akula’s family ever since the incident, and are supporting them in all ways possible (transportation, funeral expenses etc) and processing his insurance.
