HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday met the family members of renowned Telangana folk singer and balladeer Gaddar and extended his condolences and solidarity to them.

Chandrababu Naidu visited Gaddar's house in Alwal in Secunderabad. He paid floral tributes to the portrait of Gaddar and acknowledged Gaddar's significant role in various public struggles and his crucial contribution to the Telangana movement.

Speaking to the media, the TDP Chief said, "Gaddar always lived as a revolutionary singer, and he will live on like one. There is no mortality to a revolutionary song. He will always be remembered as 'praja yuddha nouka’ (warship of people’s agitations) and his spirit will be taken forward by the TDP."

Chandrababu Naidu said that he was smeared in the firing that occurred against Gaddar in 1997. Even after the firing incident, we had spoken to each other on several occasions, he said. "Unlike Gaddar, I am also working on a goal for the protection of the rights of the poor. Everyone knows the person behind the development of Hyderabad. Currently,the development benefits are being enjoyed by the people of Telangana," the TDP Chief said.
