HYDERABAD: After a few days of rain, hailstorms, and pleasant weather, it appears that Hyderabadis will have to confront the blistering heat yet again, with temperatures in the city soaring to 40 °C in the coming days.

Northern and eastern Telangana are expected to have severe heat beginning April 12, 2023, with maximum temperatures reaching 44 °C. Similarly, temperatures in Hyderabad will rise to 40 °C or more starting today.

According to Telangana Weatherman T Balaji, powerful heat begins in Telangana on April 12, with maximum temperatures hitting 44 °C in a few regions of northern and eastern Telangana in the coming days.

Severe heat grips Telangana, with Dasturabad in Nirmal recording the maximum temperature of 43.8 °C. On April 11, Maitrivanam Ameerpet in Hyderabad recorded 39.3°C. T. Balaji predicts more heat in the coming days.

Nizamabad registered 44.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, while Hyderabad recorded a high of 39.4 in Khairtabad area. Nirmal district reported 44.3 degrees Celsius, Peddapalli recorded 44.1 degrees Celsius, and Rajanna Sircilla recorded 43.9 degrees Celsius, with Hyderabad recording the lowest with 39.4 degrees.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department in Hyderabad, numerous locations in Telangana had maximum temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius or higher on Wednesday, with Adilabad recording the highest at 41.8 degrees.

The weather in Telangana is likely to be dry for the next two days. The sky would be generally clear for the first 48 hours before becoming partly cloudy in the evening.

The maximum and lowest temperatures are likely to be 39°C and 24°C, respectively. Surface winds would be south-easterly during the next 48 hours, with wind speeds ranging from 6 to 8 kmph.
