Telangana Formation Day: Roads to avoid in Hyderabad on June 2

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory in view of the inauguration of Decennial Celebrations of Telangana Formation day on June 2, 2023, effective from 6 am to 2 pm. Certain traffic detours would be put in place to avoid inconvenience to commuters.

The following traffic diversions will be in place on need basis for un-interrupted movement of vehicles.

Traffic Diversions (Formation Day Programme at Secretariat)

• Traffic will be prohibited in between VV Statue – Necklace Rotary – NTR Marg and Telugu Thalli Junction, as well as vice versa.
• Traffic heading towards Necklace Rotary from Khairatabad/Panjagutta/Somajiguda will be diverted at VV Statue towards Shadan - Nirankari. But during VVIP movement traffic heading towards Shadan Nirankari/Somajiguda will be stopped for a few minutes.
• Traffic traveling from Nirankari/Chintal Basthi to Necklace Rotary will not be permitted to use the Khairatabad flyover.
• Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar Junction and seeking to go towards Tank Bund - Ranigunj and Liberty would be directed to take the Telugu Thalli flyover towards Katta Maisamma Junction - Lower Tank Bund rather than the Telugu Thalli Jn/Ambedkar Statue/Tank Bund.
• Traffic coming from Tank Bund and Telugu Thalli seeking to travel to NTR Marg will be diverted at Telugu Thalli Junction to Iqbal Minar Junction.
• Traffic from BRKR Bhavan to NTR Marg will be prohibited and diverted at Telugu Thalli Junction to Iqbal Minar Junction.
• Traffic heading towards Imax/Necklace Rotary from Bada Ganesh lane will be redirected at Bada Ganesh to Rajdoot lane.
• Traffic from Mint lane to Bada Ganesh will be prohibited and diverted at Mint lane entrance towards Telugu Thalli flyover.
• The NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Necklace Road and Lumbini Park will be closed on June 2 in view of Telangana Formation Day Celebrations at Secretariat.

RTC Buses Diversions

RTC buses traveling from Afzalgunj to Secunderabad should avoid the Tank Bund Road and instead take the Telugu Thalli Flyover, Katta Maisamma, Lower Tank Bund, DBR Mills and Kavadiguda

Programme at Amaraveerula Stupam at Gun Park, opp Assembly, Hyderabad:

• Traffic coming from Panjagutta and intending to go towards Raj Bhavan will be stopped for a while.
• Traffic coming from Somajiguda and intending to go towards VV Statue will be stopped for a few minutes.
• Traffic coming from Ayodhya will be stopped at Nirankari for a while.
• Traffic coming from Ravindra Bharathi will be stopped at Iqbal Minar for a while.
• Traffic Coming from Iqbal Minar towards Old PS Saifabad will be stopped for a while.
• Traffic coming from Old PS Saifabad towards Ravindra Bharathi will be stopped for a while.
• Traffic coming from Old PS Saifabad towards Iqbal minar will be stopped for a while.
• Traffic Coming from BJR Statue/Nampally side intending to go towards Ravindra Bharathi/PCR Junction will be stopped for a while at AR Petrol Pump.
• Traffic coming from Basheerbagh towards PCR will be stopped for a while.
