Telangana govt to hold valedictory of Swatantra Bharat Vajrotsavam on September 1

HYDERABAD: Telangana State Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari has announced that the closing ceremony of Swatantra Bharat Vajrotsavam will be held on September 1 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on a grand scale.

In a high-level review meeting conducted to discuss the arrangements for the closing ceremony at Dr. BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, with the state Government Advisors KV Ramana Chary and Deshapathi Srinivas, DGP Anjani Kumar, and other officials, CS Santhi Kumari said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would be attending the closing ceremony as chief guest.

The Chief Secretary said dignitaries including state ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, and representatives from different corporations and local bodies besides presidents of DCCBs, DCMS, Rythu Bandhu Samithis, All India Service officers, and other eminent personalities would be present in the event.

She said that the closing ceremony would feature cultural programs that promoted patriotism and the spirit of independence followed by cultural programs and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's address.

She asked the officials to take steps to ensure that all the arrangements were made for the successful conduct of the Vajrotsava closing ceremony.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretaries Shailaja Ramaiyer, Sandeep Sultania, and Jitender, Secretaries Srinivasa Raju, SAM Rizvi, and Buddha Prakash, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra, HMWS&SB MD Dana Kishore, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose, Fire Services DG Nagireddy and others.
