TSRTC managing director VC Sajjanar examined the new prototype of the electric bus at Bus Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday. He asked the officials about the facilities provided for the passengers on the electric bus and asked them to make buses available at the earliest.

"The TSRTC will soon make available eco-friendly electric buses in Hyderabad. As part of that, Olectra Greentech Limited (OGL) has placed an order for 550 electric buses. In all, 500 buses will be operated in Hyderabad city and 50 buses on the Vijayawada route,” Sajjanar said.

The TSRTC MD said that at present 10 electric buses were running on the Vijayawada route. In addition to that, about 50 electric AC buses were going to be introduced in Hyderabad in the first phase.
