HYDERABAD: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) student union protested on Wednesday, demanding justice for the family of outsourcing employee K Praveen, who died by suicide on campus a week ago.

The UoH student union demanded that the UoH administration compensate his family and provide his wife a job. They also urged that more sanitation workers be hired so that the present staff are not overloaded.

They also demanded that jobs of outsourcing employees be regularised and that they be provided with safety gear.

The University of Hyderabad administration on Tuesday formed a committee to investigate the death of K Praveen, an outsourced sanitation worker, on its campus.

Meanwhile, UoH student union leaders have made clear that they will continue to protest until the late Praveen's family receives justice.
