HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Cricket Association President Arshanapally Jaganmohan Rao has announced that the sale of tickets for the India-England first Test match will start from the January 18 (Thursday).

First test will start from the January 25 at the Uppal Stadium. He revealed on Sunday the details of a review with the HCA apex council members on ticket sales. It was announced that the tickets would be sold online on the Paytm Insider App from January 18 onwards. The remaining tickets would be sole on online and also offline at the Gymkhana from the January 22. Those who booked tickets online would have to show any government identity card and redeem the tickets from January 22 at Gymkhana HCA stadium, he said.

JaganMohan Rao said Indian Armed Forces personnel, who were working in Telangana shedding their blood for the nation, would be allowed to watch the match on Republic Day for free. He said that the personnel of the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) working in Telangana would be given an opportunity to watch the match for free along with their families. Interested soldiers were advised to e-mail the letter signed by their Head of Department and the details of family members to HCA CEO before January 18.

Applications from over 300 schools

Jagan Mohan Rao said 5,000 per day and in all 25,000 complimentary passes for five days had been allotted to the school students.

He said that we would provide free food and drinking water to these 25,000 students. Jaganmohan Rao said that applications had been received from more than 300 schools across Telangana since the announcement that students would be allowed for free, and their staff was replying to them. Schools should send complete details including name and class of their students, he added. He said that students must bring their ID cards and wear school uniforms, the responsibility of the students after entering the stadium would be of the respective school staff he added.

Prices of tickets

JaganMohan Rao said that the starting price of the test match ticket was Rs.200 at minimum and Rs.4,000 at maximum. Keeping the common man in mind, the prices had been decided to be accessible to all, he added.

Rs 200 season tickets

for five days Rs 600. The Rs 499 ticket was Rs 1,497 for five days. Similarly, the Rs 1,000 ticket would be given for Rs. 3,000 and that of Rs.

1,250 would be Rs 3,750.

The box tickets of Rs 3, 000 would be sold for Rs 12,000 for five days and Rs. 4,000 would be Rs 16,000.
